The best part was booking to do the mine tour where you go 61 metres below surface to experience what mining for gold was like.
This was one of the most unique, interesting, and enjoyable tours I have ever done. We went over 60 metres underground to experience first hand what working life would have been like for Bendigo’s gold-miners in the mid 20th century. I highly recommend to anyone wanting an immersive and unforgettable experience. Our tour guide, Jezz, was outstanding. This tour is ‘the real deal’ so best avoided by anyone affected by claustrophobia.
We did our tour with Baz this morning. We had a thorough discussion and tour. Highly informative and recommended insight into how mining was done way back in the days of yesteryear.
