My 97yo mother lived at Cedarhurst for almost 6 years before she passed away last month. We're very thankful we made the choice of Cedarhurst when Mom realized she needed to move out of her house. All of the staff and other residents were always very kind, welcoming, and it felt more like a large extended family. This also included when one of us was there visiting. My brother in law Billy resided at Cedarhurst Independent living for seven months. I highly recommend this facility because of the staff and the environment this facility offers. James and Gary oversee the facility. The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming and very upbeat. From the time you arrive the front desk staff are welcoming and treat everyone with loving respect. Looks nice on the outside, but it isn't. Employees can't last a single shift without gossipping & badmouthing each other. Favoritism playes a HUGE role here and you will catch management spying on you multiple times a day. Some people get to talk & text while others don't even get a break. If you confront management with a problem, it will be pushed on the backburner and ignored.
