Great place! I interned here in 2012 and learned a lot. Yesterday someone at work found a baby Grackle and he was able to make it through the night well and was very active and much better this morning. I took him in immediately because I know the inner workings of this place pretty well, and knew that they take great care of all their animals with their great employees, interns, and volunteers! I know the Grackle will be in the best care possible and released in no time if he's healthy!

Visited today. Tons of critters along the trails. Toads, frogs and lizards! The other animals are great to see too. Reminds me of a tiny zoo! Staff is all very friendly and helpful!!!

Found a baby squirrel didn't even know this place existed. Very helpful and friendly staff.

I found and picked up an injured dove today at work. After asking some neighbors about where to bring her/him I was told by a couple that the best place might be Woodford Cedar Run. They were right. The staff called me back immediately and gave me clear instructions on what to do. Upon arrival, the woman I dealt with was kind, friendly and clearly cared very much for animals. She started talking to the little bugger asking what happened to them and reassuring them they'd be okay! I can't wait to go back and visit the Refuge ... read more

The staff was very nice when we brought in a distressed juvenile raptor. If it is important to you to know whether the animal survived and was released though, don’t bring it here, because the outcomes are apparently top secret. I would have taken it somewhere else had I known this before going there.
