This center does a great job rehabilitating injured and abandoned animals: I called them after I found a baby rabbit out of his nest for advice; My call was promptly returned and after I described the conditions they advised me to bring the baby right over; Very friendly staff; their website also gives guidelines on what to do if you find an injured animal or abandoned baby Please consider donating to the center to support their work
Beautiful area. Lots of pines to shade you from the mean sun.
The beautiful out doors. Put away the video games and the cell phones and just enjoy. Clean air wild life and open space. Kids loved it. Just like we did every day back in the day.
My children absolutely LOVED the day we spent here. They were begging to go back the very next day. The employees were all very friendly and since it wasn't busy (extra bonus for us) there were 4 that took some extra time with my kids to offer information and answer questions. We can't wait to go back and both kids asked to go the summer camp they offer. Definitely worth the 45 min drive for us.
I found a mother possum dead with babies still in her pouch stuck underneath her & 4 beside her I pulled 2 from her pouch I couldn't believe it there was 6 babies I drove & took them to cedar run & they kindly took them and will take care of them. I have also made a 50$ donation to the wild refugee Thank you for taking the babies! - Krystal Byer
These guys are so great. After spending all day nursing a baby bird my coworker found at work today, I was able to bring him here, even after hours. They have a cozy reception area with kennels and heating pads and everything, so I didn't feel as bad about leaving our little buddy baby sparrow. Plus they have great fundraising events and kids attractions!
