Cattle Baron Steak Cattle Baron's has the best salad bar in Midland and Odessa. So many choices, also has a good chicken fried steak. Very affordable and highly recommendable.
We had the worst lunch experience, I initially ordered a sandwich and decided I wanted the salad bar instead. The waitress stepped over to a table next to ours to take their order, I caught her before she left and asked if I could change my order to the salad bar and she told me “no”. Our drinks didn’t come out until our lunch order came out, the French dip sandwich we ordered was so dry it couldn’t be eaten. Salad bar is tops in the area, but the bar is never open, the service has continued to decline. Lived here for over 40 years and have always loved Cattle Baron, but today was my last visit. Needs new management or shut it down. Not only was it understaffed, but the service was a 0 on a scale of 1-10. One customer actually stood up to get the attention of the waitress.
My husband’s steak was bloody, when it should have been well done. The rice was under cooked. Over all his food was cold. He also came down with food poisoning. As for myself, I had the salad bar which was disappointing. There were rotten veggies, food that tasted old and just not very satisfying. If we ever make our way to Midland again, we will never eat here again.

It is a really good easy going restaurant. The salad bar is super, and fresh. We enjoy eating here, the food is good and the wait staff are friendly.
First time we came it was great this was our second time here and it was the worst ever they brought the wrong food and when we got it it was cold the salad bar was always empty and dirty really disappointed �

The food was good, but the restaurant itself needs a really good cleaning!!!
