Nice doctor. But don’t plan on seeing her. They NEVER return calls unless you call to pay a bill. Entirely disappointed in the care I have received. I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of some health issues since November and wanted to make an appt. My final attempt was last week after coming down with the flu. I called and emailed and never heard back. The reviews Complaining of this very same thing go back for many years so I believe the office is not managed properly. They just do not care. Dr. O’Connell actually listens and spends time with patients. I have never had issues with the office staff. They are always friendly and helpful.
I absolutely agree with all of the negative reviews about Dr. O’Connell’s staff! Rude, condescending, talk bad about other doctors, never, ever return calls even when you are having an allergic reaction to medication. I really like Dr. O’Connell, but she needs to wake up and completely revamp her staff!!
My Rx for HBP was delayed for doctor approval. I left message & then received a message that the Rx would be authorized but I needed to come in. I called to schedule and spoke with Sam who REFUSED to refill my RX until I was seen. She offered one date but I could not do because of Jury Duty. I told her I had 2 days of Rx left and had to have the Rx refilled. She refused to refill until I was seen. SERIOUS ISSUE TO REFUSE HBP RX FOR A PATIENT TRYING TO SCHEDULE APPTOINTMENT. HORRIBLE STAFF.
My wife is a patient of Dr. O'Connell. The doctor is kind, listens, and compassionate. The office staff is terrible. If you call you NEVER get a real person, just voice mail saying "leave a message and we will get back with you." And they rarely ever call back. I have recently left 5 messages for an issue and not had a call back. This is the most unprofessional office staff I have ever experienced.
I love Dr. O'Connell. She listens and takes her time. Has given me helpful holistic recommendations. However, I will not go back because of difficulty with her staff. They don't answer the phones, rarely return calls and don't return emails. I had to call multiple times to get an appointment. When I had problems getting a prescription filled, I had to go to the office 2 times because they did not respond to my phone calls. With better staff I would give her 5 stars!
Has been our Dr for over 20 years, now using Dr O’Connell for my sons medical care.
