Dr OConnell is warm and comfortable. However, the staff is cold and uncaring. I feel the make bad decisions on the voicemail and email on the docs part without her knowing. So sad because that’s NOT her!!!!!!
I had the same experience with staff never answering or calling me back. I just couldn't get to the doctor. It was a few years ago.
Dr O’Connell is an exemplary M.D. i’ve known her and have been going to her for years and she’s just about the only Doctor Who you could tell anything to, and also understands the mind-body connection, which is very real and very important. I have been going to Dr. O’Connell for almost 20 years and her care has been exceptional. She always goes the ALTERNATIVE method before prescribing unnecessary medication. Dr. O'Connell could not be more professional, caring and informed. The atmosphere she and her staff create is so positive, I leave satisfied and happier than when I arrived.
Dr. O' Connell is FANTASTIC. I have been a patient of her for more than 10 years. She listens, she spends alot of time with patients, and she's very thorough. The office staff is wonderful. They have been with her for a while. They bend over backwards to make sure patients and the office are well taken care of. All of these previous reviews sound like patients who just did not get what they wanted OR treated the office staff disrespectfully. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. O'Connell.
She has not only endangered my mother in her care but now my father. I’m reporting her to the FL Department of Public Health. My mother was having a medical complication, and we repeatedly called the office for weeks without a return of our calls!! She had to go to the ER to be seen finally because I was worried she was going to lose her vision, her neck was swelling impairing her breathing, and she NEEDED a refill of her prescription medicine that she must take! Beware and proceed with extreme caution. My mother died last year from a rare form of Uterine cancer. Cancer experts told us it was likely the result of prolonged use of HRT post menopause with a uterus completely intact. This therapy was promoted and prescribed for over 20 years by Dr. O'Connell. Upon diagnosis of cancer, Dr. C'Connell no longer responded to phone calls or emails.
