I've lived in Memphis all my life and I have been there numerous times especially for birthdays. I've been there threw the ups and downs of owners but I must say when I first started going and when the Berryhills where running it was my most favorable times. The prices have gone up a lot but they are not renovating anything the floors, walls and tables are sticky and should be replaced. The ladies bathroom need some help as well. This is definitely not the good ole Catfish Cabin like back in the day. Fish fillet n fries for sure were way to oily. The food was just okay but I expected much better for the prices.
Yesterday I went for my Nephew 18th Birthday and it took almost an hour to be seated, and when we were finally seated it took them 30mins to take our order. And when we got our food it was cold and nasty, and I paid over a hundred dollars for they're crappy ass food!! NEVER AGAIN!!! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME AND I WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN, THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!
Waited patiently for our food. When it came, there was a roach crawling on my plate! A LIVE MOVING ROACH! I never saw a manager or owner to apologize, acknowledge their wrong or attempt to take ownership! Worst experience ever! I'll never step foot in Catfish Cabin ever again!!!
I'm from out of town came here to eat today, and it was my first time ever coming here March 12,2017 and as I was proceeding to eat, there was an roach on the wall then one on the table. The bathroom had holes in the wall by the stalls and sinks were old. The place was out dated and apparently not clean for roaches to be in the establishment.
I just had the BEST catfish, hush puppies and coleslaw I have ever had!!! This place puts out some amazing product!!!
Their fish was so good as usual. I say this because I'm not a new fan to this fish at all. I use to eat this fish alot when I attended Remington College n it still tastes the same. The only difference is now I feel like the fish gets smaller n smaller each time I come. The service though is magnifico n I stand 10 toes down on that. So much SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY IN THEIR �S IN THATS A GREAT N MAJOR REASON TO DINE IN.
