Best Service Around – I have been taking my vehicles to Castleton Auto Repair for 14 years now, since the time I was a college student. They serviced my vehicle then, and they continue to service the vehicles my husband and I now own. We have never once had a single issue with Castleton Auto Repair. CASTLETON AUTO IS THE BEST! – I've been taking my cars to Castleton Auto for several years now and seriously can not Thank them enough. Every once in awhile I take my car to the dealership because it is close to work... when the dealership gives me the quote I about pass-out and have literally spent days worrying about the unexpected costs. told me I did not need a service that I asked for! – I went there to get a job done (factory bad engine gasket replacement) that the dealership told me I needed. I asked for the quote, and was pretty much going to get it done along with some other things. They told me that they could tell the job had already been done by the color of the sealant (service done by previous vehicle owner apparently). Failure to Launch... – Ignoring the "NO SOLICITING" signs posted--clearly--at the gate of my community to go knocking door-to-door with a $70 sales pitch (expected to be paid on the spot, no less!) at 8p.m. is an immediate customer service failure. Congratulations on your self-defeating tactics. Now the next time I DO need an oil change, I know which business not to support.

Quoted higher price than dealership charges---odd – Judging from the reviews here and at yelp sounds like Castleton Auto Repair has problems :( sorry. CAR Quoted higher price than dealership charges---that seems odd.

Disastrous Experience – Took my vehicle in to have a part replaced, cam sensor. They couldn't get the cover off the cam sensor so they broke it and a piece of it fell down onto the timing belt. When they couldn't get it started they said it was the starter, but after replacing the starter, it still wouldn't start. We had it towed to an engine shop where they found the issue and documented it. Castleton Auto refuses to stand behind it, saying that we, the owners, had worked on the car previously, so we could have done it. We ... read more

Could not repair my car after 2 weeks and $800 – This guy said to me that he was SWAG'ing it (scientific wild ass guess). He was just replacing parts and if it fixed it great, if not, replace another part. He had if for over 2 weeks. On two occasions, he said it was fixed but it wasn't. Each time I paid my bill. Finally, he said he would no longer work on it because the car was in bad shape (pampered '94 Mustang GT). I took it to a Ford dealer. It was fixed in one day. Great Service, Proffesional – After being disappointed by chain garages, I found CAR and now get all my family's vehicles, and most of my friends', serviced there. They are real pros, doing all they can to get the job done right. They work quickly, and always provide a quote before they begin work, so no crazy fees like other places. All in all they are the best in Indy.
