Strange staff, rooms were not very clean, decore was something out of the 70s, and as the day and night went on we found out that this place is in a bad and unsafe part of town. Even if the price is right we recommend you do more research before booking a reservation here.
I stay at this hotel several times a month during the summer and once or twice a month during the winter, depending on the weather. I live 45 miles from Rapid City, but its nicer and easier to stay here then drive home. Manager & staff are very friendly and will let me sleep late if I arrive late; I can park my truck where I can see it and the pool is a Big Bonus in the summer. Very family friendly and affordable, and much more personable than the "big name" hotels. The coffee is always on, too (and thats important to me).
The staff was kind of wierd and there was a strange smell in the room. On looking around there were cleaner motels for cheaper rates in the area.
I cant understand why such an affordable, clean and a motel with great clean rooms and friendly staff can be called a Joke! This is definitely Motivated. I stay in this motel every time I go to black hills during the summer. They have such a cute swimming pool. The water in the pool was as clean as you can find in bib price motel like Holiday Inn etc. This is a great motel for a middle class family like mine. Very safe. It is just like home. Keep it up the good work.
Castle Inn is the best and affordable place to live in Rapid City. We were very impressed by the customer service they provided. Staff is very friendly and cooperative. Everytime I visit Rapid City, I will stay at Castle Inn Motel.
We come to Rapid twice a year for the craft shows at the Civic Center. Their proximity to the Civic Center is ideal for us. Its not expensive, it is very clean and the help will help us find anything we need. We locked our keys in our car while we were there- they knew just who to call and had them there and us in our car in time for the opening of the show. Big PLUS! If you have family or need extra room, ask for their family suite if its available.
The rooms were very clean and nice. Office staff was very friendly. Pool was clean. Only stayed one night but would have stayed longer if we didnt have to fly out. Would definitely stay again. It is NOT in a bad neighborhood like some reviews have said.
this hotel had HUGE rooms with a microwave and a fridge for less then 60 dollars a night for a family of 5. heated pool with helpful friendly staff. very clean and neat. a little hard to find but once you are use to where it is, it is easy to get to from anywhere.
Room was NOT Clean at all. Sheets had hair all over them and stained. Pillow cases had hairs and stains on them. Toliet was filthy had not been cleaned. Bathroom floor was muddy. Tub had hair and dirt in it. Trash was not emptied. Over all TERRIBLE. We should get our money back. Would NEVER stay there again. Look for different place to stay. It is worth the extra money Trust Me. Terrible. YUCK
