I love Casa Escobar. I am very fortunate to live close to this place. The food is delicious and the portions are extremely generous. I usually frequent this place twice a week. I highly recommend the chile rellenos and cheese enchiladas. The owner is a class act!
Great Mexican food at reasonable prices. – I have been to Casa Escobar a few times and recommend this restaurant, Strong Margaritas, freindly service, nice atmosphere. Food is very well priced, I am surprised at the $$$ mark. On average I would say with a drink and appetizers 25-30pp.
lacking in taste – Seems like a great family style landmark restaurant, but there was not much choice on the menu. I usually like basic carne asada tacos but they had only shredded beef and shredded chicken. The shredded chicken tacos were dry and tasted like tuna almost. The chips and salsa were great - they had two kinds of salsa - mild and hot. I think this place is mexican food made for americans. The combination entrees include a soup or salad, rice, beans with food, and a coffee. Our server didn't even offer the coffee... read more
Great enchiladas, but ... – My friends and I went to eat dinner there the other night. The enchiladas were great. I agree with the previous person who said the drinks where on the strong side and the tamales were not that good. Service was good, but.... They need more female waiters. There were only male waiters the night we went.
Average Mexican Food – The food here was pretty average. The chips and salsa were decent, and the cuisines were average. They were not awesome but they were not bad either. The three $$$ dollar signs made me think this restaurant was expensive but most dishes were less than 15 dollars. They have a few dishes that are more expensive like lobster so maybe that is why the price was $$$. The ambiance is dark and relaxing. The drinks are on the stronger side. The service and people are very nice and friendly. The tacos were prett... read more
Awesome food – This place is great! The food is awesome. It's cheap, good and fast service! My boyfriend and I frequent here once a week and it's well worth it. The margaritas are o.k. If you're an alcoholic, you'll love them. I prefer a little more flavor not just liquor. Overall this place is fantastic.
Always a Favorite – Casa Escobar has been a staple of mine and my friends for years. The service is excellent all around! The ambiance is great - dark and fun, but still great to enjoy conversations. It's a great place to go with a group. The only flaw, and it's a major one, is the margaritas. They're strong but they taste like amaretto syrup. More than one will leave your stomach in pain. And if you like them blended, don't bother because there's no ice - just watery syrup. I really wish they'd make them better. Still, that... read more
DO NOT GO!!! – This was some of the worst service I have ever had or seen! The hostess was extremely rude, not only to us, but to a family of five who came in. The waiter NEVER came to take our order! After 45 minutes we decided to get up and leave. We had ordered 2 drinks, we asked the bartender to let us pay for them because we had not seen our waiter in 45 minutes. He said we would have to WAIT until our non-existent server appeared to take our order! This place was horrible!!! AND if you are thinking, "Well, maybe it's j... read more
best mexican restaurant! – My husband and I have been coming here for years...finally putting up a review. Casa is a darker restaurant but still fun and festive. Great margaritas and awesome service. The food is very good! We love the enchiladas, tacos and chicken tostada. Have never been dissappointed. The valet, G, as he calls himself is super nice. They're normally able to seat you but reservations help on Fri and Sat nights. The price can't be beat and the albondigas soup, which is the starter if you don't get salad, is ... read more
