I’ve been going to Cary OBGYN for a little over a year now. I received my diagnosis for endometriosis here, and I underwent surgery to remove an endometrioma. My last appointment was just a standard annual exam, and I wanted to come prepared to discuss with the doctor all the new symptoms I was experiencing—such as extreme fatigue, gastrointestinal issues, and urinary issues. I was hoping to become a new patient at Cary OB/GYN, but my experience with the scheduler was so unpleasant that I’m reconsidering. She was rude, impatient, and completely unhelpful when I called with questions about becoming a new patient. It’s disappointing to be treated so poorly when you're trying to seek care—especially from a women’s health practice where compassion should be a priority. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one was not good.
They tried doing a cervix biopsy without any sedation. Obgyn was aware of multiple diagnoses I have concerning chronic pain in that region. After 5 attempts (pokes) I couldn’t handle the pain anymore. I was told I had to pay for the anesthesiologist out of my own pocket as they don’t see sedation as a medical necessity for this procedure (other practices do use sedation).
