Dr. O'Neal has been my optometrist for more than 20 years. Always the best of care from vision testing and glasses, laser surgery to prevent closed angle glaucoma, and most recently cataract surgery. I could not be more pleased with the outcome of my cataract surgery. My vision has been restored to the point that glasses are optional and only needed to read the smallest of print. While living in NC I went to Dr. O’Neal for more than 20 years. In my opinion he is the BEST doctor I’ve ever been to. Always a concerned doctor that listens to you and explains everything so you can understand it. His entire office staff is very friendly and helpful as well. You will not go wrong making an appointment with this doctor.

At the time of my first visit, I was going through some other health problems that caused me temporary vision issues. This was the first time I had ever experienced any vision problems and I was in a lot of distress. The doctor was not helpful in diagnosing my problem and acted like I was wasting his time. I understand that he is a specialist, but I think it’s important to really listen to the patient and look at the issues in a holistic way. He did neither. I have been a patient of Dr. Oneal for over 10 years His staff is professional and very helpful. I recently had cataract surgery performed by Dr. ONeal. It was a total sunless: painless with an outcome of total success! No longer required to wear glasses to drive I can put the glasses away; just reading glasses!
