BEWARE!! Carson and sons were great initially, were very eager to get the job done and get our money but they roof they installed is leaking and they will not respond to any phone calls/messages, email or faxes that we have left/sent. They gave us a 10 year guarantee that they have not backed, the roof is leaking less than 2 years in. The guarantee is useless and they will not even call us back.... should not be BBB accredited. BEWARE, they are NOT recommended
Unethical contractor – I used John Carson based on a colleague's experience, but not both she and I have found that he does NOT return calls when there is a problem with his work. And when he does, he claims the leak is not the fault of his work, but some excuse (the roof the twin is attached to, etc). His "guarantee" is not worth the paper it is printed on. I have yet to find an ethical roofer in this city...maybe they do not exist.
If you value your life, do not hire John Carson and Son – John Carson and Son replaced my roof and in the process took down 2 chimneys because he said it was "easier" for him to complete the job. Now I find out that one of those chimneys contained the vent for my furnace and hot water heater, which are now pushing exhaust inside my home. I'm told we are lucky that the house has not burned down or that we were killed by carbon monoxide poisoning. Do NOT hire this company! I had to have John Carson return to my house 4 times to fix the leaks in this roof after he "fixed" it. And he has no attention to detail. Even though the roof has FINALLY stopped leaking, it looks like crap. Plus, I had to clean up quite a few beer cans that his workers left on the roof. Don't hire any contractor who lets his employees drink on the job.
Do Not Use! – SCAMMERS! This address is used for the following businesses: A Plus Appliance Repair, Appliance Masters, Advertising Internet Marketing Solutions, and Philadelphia Appliance Washer Dryer Refrigerator Oven Repair Service. Also under this address 1002 Chelten Ave, Philadelphia. This human came to our house on July 6th and needed a $140 deposit to get a part for our washer and has since disapeared.
