I started going to Methodist at the end of 2020 for fertility treatments. After 4 failed IUIs and 1 failed IVF procedure after even having a “mock” cycle, I’d definitely recommend sticking to your gut and getting a second opinion. My spouse and ai were hesitant to switch clinics after going here for so long. Dr. Doherty completely botched a procedure and nearly killed my wife. It took her 2 days to finally come back to the hospital to apologize. She should loose her license and retire.
I am very grateful to Dr. Doherty for helping me to become pregnant with a healthy baby boy (I am now in my 28th week of pregnancy). She is very knowledgeable about IVF and I never doubted her decisions when it came to my health or the health of my baby. However, if you would like a physician who shows compassion and is available for you when you have anxieties about the treatment then she is not the one to go to. She keeps a distance and tries to have minimum contact with the patients.
Dr, Doherty or 'Maud' helped us to get pregnant in four months after trying for over a year. While quick, witty and straightforward, she is thorough, skilled and will tell you what you need to hear. If you're looking for comfort, she's not you gal, but she will get the job accomplished; and to us get pregnant with the child we prayed for day and night for a long time was more important to us than a hand to hold.
The staff are generally good and she is knowledgeable. However, they are not available for the patient when she needs them. I was 5 weeks pregnant and has heavy bleeding with clots. I called them and they said they will return the call. I waited for over an hour and no one called. I went to the walk in clinic and asked to be seen but they refuses to see me. This was my first pregnancy and I needed more instructions. It is sad that they take all this money and are not there when you need them.
Dr Doherty is amazing! I would refer any & everyone to this clinic. I just completed my first cycle & feel like a million dollars! I'm looking forward to my next one. Dr. Doherty or Dr. Delaney are phenomenal.
Dr. Doherty is very clear and to the point. She doesn't sugar coat things, which may sometimes seem rude or abrupt, but she will be honest with what will or will not work. It is somewhat difficult to get to see her as a patient but once you get in, appointments are very timely.
Dr. Doherty is quite simply the BEST!
It took a couple of tries, but we finally got our miracle baby!
