These folks really know their bikes. I wandered in there a year ago, explained my needs for a commuter bike, and walked away with the best bike for my needs I've ever experienced (been commuting by bike for 10 years now) When I have needed service, they were quick, professional, and decently priced. I'd not hesitate to give this shop and Jeff and Kurt, all my bike related business.
Another reason to support a local bike shop. I rushed into CPW after breaking the seat post and having a mild shifting issue on my Giant with 17 minutes before closing. I planned to drop it off for service first thing next week. Kurt not only fixed the shifting issue, but replaced the seat post until the warranty goes through (and I quote) "so I wouldn't have to miss a day of riding". You might save a buck or two buying online but service like that is worth way more than a few bucks. Definitely recommend CPW.
A great shop in the Hickory area, Kurt and Jeff really know their business and are all around great guys. Stop in and see them...they sell beer and usually have coffee on too.
OMG. I cannot describe how happy we are to have found Pedal Works! We’re just getting our bikes road ready and needed a pump. Kurt and Jeff are incredibly knowledgeable and very down to earth. While we’ll be back for our cycling stuff, we’re definitely coming by for a beer during Le Tour! Allez! Allez!
Wow, this shop rocks. Jeff and Kurt are super nice, knowledgeable and straight up great to work with. Having been in the bike industry I’ll be the first to tell you that there are some shops that think they’re too cool for the average rider, well not at this shop. It’s nice to find yet another reason why Hickory is great. You found your bicycle shop here. Whether you need a pump for your bike or a bike for you this is the place to go.
