I lived at Carmichael Apartments back in the early to mid 90's. First in an upstairs studio, then graduating to 5818 Engle which is a house that is considered an 2 bedroom, 1 bath large apartment. Since no one else mentions it, I thought I would put up a few notes. They use most of the "backyard" for more paved parking. But it has it's own fenced area. I asked the manger, Derek, if I had a bad credit score could I still get approved, he said they didn't check for credit scores but checked if you had evictions or criminal background issues, so I applied, he took my 80$ for me and my sister's application, and then denied me saying due to my credit score. I reminded him that I knew my credit was bad and asked him about that before he took my money to apply. I think that was messed up and a waste of my time and money. Great place to rent from. Nice and quiet. Very roomy and homey. Great big balcony with every apartment. 10x better then my last apartment. Very happy I moved here.
