True Soul Food and Friendly Environment
Everything I've tried had been VERY good. Tastes like a home made meal-simple & delicious. Love blackened pork chops, candied yams, & greens. Cornbread & stuffing awesome.
Get the chicken & waffles with Mac & cheese. Hot sauce & syrup on everything 😍
Its reputation as the best soul food restaurant in Pittsburgh is well-earned. Very tasty fried chicken. Great mac-and-cheese. Decor nothing to write home about, but that's not why you're going anyway.
Excellent chicken dumpling soup
This is a great place. I enjoyed the chicken and waffle breakfast.
the blackened tilapia is amazing. make sure you also get the fish stew! skip the flavorless rice and beans, get the lumpy mashed potatoes instead.
The shrimp & grits we're amazing. Mac & cheese n cornbread best I've had in yrs!
