A CLASSIC! This place is amazing! It has stood for probably a century and has made a return to it's greatness the past 20 years. It is in the heart of downtown Scranton. A beautiful building with a restaurant inside that is SOOO classy. Expensive, but you are treated like royalty to a fabulous dinner. The hotel is alsolutely gorgeous! Love the marble!
historical At first glance the building looks ancient. Like something from way way back in the days. When i went inside to take a look I found it be rather cozy in a way. The place is very clean and nice, and the rooms are very nice too. The bar however was kind of a turn off. It's a really small bar in the middle of the dining area, and it looks kind of scary in a way.
Truly world class food in Scranton Beautifully refurbished train station. We were visiting from Philadelphia and couldn't have been more pleased. All 4 of us agreed that it was one of the best meals we have had and we are well traveled diners at fine restaurants throughout the country. We each tried the other's appetizers, main dishes and desserts. All were delicious. If you go, try the cavatelli appetizer. Classy Hotel Restaurant Carmen's is actually the restaurant located inside the Radisson Hotel in Scranton. The building is an historic site, refurbished from the downtrodden train station which existed in Scranton. Carmen's serves up quality food. I've never had a bad meal there. Their lunch buffet is fantastic, as is their Sunday brunch. Try the orange cognac dressing (which they are noted for) on your salad. You can't go wrong at Carmen's. Always excellent!
Lovely A beautiful historic building with a top notch restaurant and nice guest rooms, the Radisson is the perfect place for a delicious Sunday brunch or an elegant wedding reception.
