Make sure you check recreational swim Hours. Google says hours of lap swim. We came on a Sunday and the rec swimming doesn’t open until 12:30. It’s summer in San Diego, not sure why it can’t be open sooner. Also, most pools aren’t even open on Sundays- mind boggling to me.
This is utterly an awesome unit, private dressing rooms in all other San Diego pools, dressing areas are common, slides for kids are enormous, lanes are enough for all patrons you rarely need to share, and they are long I think they're semy Olympic. Carmel valley is a beautiful place, and Swimming pool is also.
