Complete Waste of Time I was in Hoboken this week going back to work in Manhattan and I stpped by the bakery. The line was around the block. I waited almost 30 mintues to get service. I bought some cupcakes and some italian pastry to bring to the office. The prices are outrageous,. The staff w]is as rude as can be and I was practically rushed out the door. NEVER AGAIN. Convenient location, delicious cakes Carlos City Hall Bake Shop is very conveniently located on Washington Street, across the street from City Hall and close to the Path station. They have a nice selection of assorted cakes and pastries. They are justly famous for their cannolis, and the chocolate chip cannoli is absolutely fabulous. They have a nice selection of wedding cakes, and the more "understated" cakes on their wedding roster are some of the most beautiful ones I have seen for a reasonable price.

Rude staff especially the old blond sister extremely rude staff especially the old blond sister she think she is a celebrity, extremely over priced and the taste of there pastries is no different than the pastries from food stores . they must not be Italian.
Good Service I disagree completely- the customer service was very good despite the long lines and craziness. We tried the cupcakes and some other smaller Italian pastries. Everything was very good- definately worth the hype! My favorite were the cannolis because they were completely out of this world! They filled them fresh while we waited!
waaaaah! You bunch o' cry babies, whining about customer service. YOU try pleasing a bunch of jackasses all day, day after day, giving it your all and no matter how hard you try, you still can't please them. I'm in Texas and just wished we had the privilege of a family with this much dedication, integrity, and heart, here for us. In fact, they ARE Texan and don't know it. I love these people. yuk I would never use this bakery. One, they are the rudest, most obnoxious group of people I have ever seen or heard. I cannot make it through one 30 minute episode of this. They also say that they "dirty ice" their cakes. How gross is that. Most reputable bakers use the term "crumb coat". That sounds far more edible. He thinks he is the best there ever was, and his family are all a bunch of loud-mouthed who know what.
Carlo's City Hall Bake Shop...not all that My mom and I went to Carlo's to try out the cannoli and lobster tail. Not impressed. My husband also tried to order a birthday cake for me, but people on the phone and in the shop were not helpful. He knew I liked the Peony cake they've shown on Cake Boss. Nicole My daughter like many is in love with Carlo's Bakery and follows the show religiously. Watches Kitchen Boss, We recently saw Buddy on tour. The show was great! She is turning 13 this year and all she wants her Birthday cake from His bakery. Turns out you can't order a specialty Cake over the phone. You have do a consultation.
