Best bridal boutique in the Burgh!! I had an appointment with Amanda at Carlisle's and it was the most pleasant experience trying on bridal gowns I've ever had! Jan and Amanda were amazing to work with! I ended up buying a gown that was exclusive to their store right there on the spot, though I hadn't originally planned to purchase one that day. Unprofessional/Stressful Experience Brides Beware! Carlisle's will be kind and caring to get your business, but when there's a problem, the owner is nasty and unprofessional. Bride fell in love with a dress at a bridal show. We were measured and ordered the bridal gown, a mother of the bride gown and a mother of the groom gown. All came in too small! Classy Establishment As the first place I went to shop for my wedding gown, I did not know what to expect when I walked into Carlisle's. What I found were women who were eager to help and excited to be a part of your special journey. They were amazingly attentive and helpful. Totally Unsatisfied Due to the timing of my wedding, I had to buy a dress "off the rack". I found a dress that I liked but it was several sizes too big. I was assured that the alterations would not be a problem. The first several times I went back for fittings it still wasn't even wearable. I finally had to convince them to basically rebuild the whole top of the dress the weekend before my wedding. Great Experience ... But Beware ALTERATIONS! Our experience at Carlisle's could not have been more satisfying. Our consultant was friendly, knowledgeable and able to show dresses that best suited my daughter's age & style. Very friendly and helpful I did not end up getting my dress from Carlisles, but I am very glad that I experienced their establishment. The staff was very friendly and super accomadating. I really did find a dress that was fantastic, but it came in second to my ultimate choice. I would highly recommend visiting Carlisles!
Pittgurl I literally left this store in tears they were so rude to me. I felt completely shunned because I wasn't buying one of their most expensive dresses. The salesgirl Amanda was both condescending and bitchy--it was awful and humiliating. I love the idea of a family business but it seems as though their sales staff needs an overhaul. This was an absolutely awful experience for me.
Great Experience I want out shopping with my mom for our 4th time, After many frustrating experiences at different salons around Pittsburgh I met Amanda at Carlisle's. She had such an ear for listening to exactly want I wanted and gave me a really nice experience. I bought my dress at Carlisle's and can not wait to go back to order my bridesmaids.
Wonderful!! I made an appointment with Carlisle's more or less as "practice" for my upcoming appointment at a more expensive store. I didn't really think I was going to buy a dress. But, Charlene was so helpful and attentive that I ended up finding my dream dress that very day!!! The ladies are very well-informed, attentive, classy and not pushy at all. No wonder they've been in business so long!!! This is a small store, with an cozy boutique atmosphere. A must-visit if you're a Pittsburgh-area bride.
