My mom broke her hip and had surgery here. Her aftercare was questionable at every turn. There was never a “go-to” person that knew about her care. The nurses, cna’s and PTs were, for the most part, completely unable to care for a patient with dementia, who is also in pain! The social worker was not initially clear on when/where my mom would be discharged. Communication seemed to be lacking with the social work dept. My mom ended up being at Carle/Proctor for 12 days. This hospital staff was the WORST. Bordering on INHUMANE treatment of my Aunt. I sure hope someone finds comfort for their loved ones here because we got no comfort, nocompassion, and no assistance.
