Been a member several yrs. Good boat selection and availability. Like the national harbor, DC, and Annapolis locations. Jay at national harbor has been great
They just straight up lie. Our boat stalled only 30 minutes in to the ride and facetimed the team to help. We did everything that they asked us to do and even showed the exactly what we were doing. The members working for CareFree after seeing what we tried deemed that the boat stalling and cutting off suddenly was not a user error and that we needed to call a tow boat and 100% Carefree Boat Club would cover that tow. Be aware that the sales team will say pretty much anything to get you to sign up. Im a member and I’m overall satisfied however the promise of reciprocal use of other clubs only starts being a feature of your membership after 5 outings at your home club.

This has been one of the most frustrating and stressful experiences I’ve had with any company. Carefree Boat Club misrepresented our contract just to get us to sign up. The former membership director told us exactly what we wanted to hear—promises that were never reflected in the final agreement. After signing, we were overcharged on the initiation fee, and the club began drafting unauthorized payments, including charging a credit card that was never authorized for recurring use.
