They took great care of my son, from days in the ICU then to the cardiac side where he didn’t need around the clock watch, the doctors and nurses were more than wonderful and informative. They invited me to the rounds every morning accepting my input and answering my questions. They even had a PlayStation in the room and let my son have his Xbox there to keep him occupied from the worry and stress of the tests and his new found heart problems. My daughter wasn’t suppose to live and I came all the way from nj to get a second opinion. And now my daughter is three years old. They promised me they will be able to save my baby and they did just that. Now I have a daughter thanks to this team. Everyone is amazing here it’s 20 year old doctors handling these children with care. I will forever love this hospital if we lived there all my children would be a patient I also recommend other families to this hospital. My husband and I attended a fetal echo with our surrogate. After a wonderful experience getting our security badges, we were disappointed to see the Fetal Heart Department desk staff constantly confused and questioning who we were in relation to the surrogate. When our surrogate arrived and began to fill out the paperwork, it was also clear that the paperwork assumed a traditional male/female relationship and nothing more (e.g., asking about “mother” and “father”).
