Our FAVORITE place to take all of out of town guests! Everyone we've taken really likes the food and can't believe how much they get. We go here ourselves often and always have great service. Once when we had guests with us, the server brought out fried shrimp instead of the clam strips that were part of a combo meal and not only did she not charge us for the meal, but brought out a double serving of the clams which we took home.
Incredible! My first time there and I loved it! The hushpuppies are great and the Salt & pepper catfish was the best I've ever had in my life! I wish you were closer to Florida!
Filet was great. Waitress was nice. Onion rings a little over cooked. Salad was great. Hush puppies were outstanding.
Been going to Captain Steve's since 1997 and it is by far the best seafood around. We love it and drive all the way from Waxhaw. The service is alway good and the food is always hot and portions are huge. BUT.....the last four visits have been just about the same experience and I think we are done going because it not an enjoyable place to eat dinner anymore. Was there this past Saturday with my family and had the worst experience ever. I used to love coming to this location but our waitress was very rude and the "manager" or whoever she was, was not any better. How are you gonna get upset over a tarter sauce bottle? Then try to snatch it from someone's hand? And you are the waitress at this establishment. So what does the "manager lady " do, she embarrasses our entire table and treats us with disrespect.
You will never do better than Captain Steve's - my brother comes from Florida and we head first thing to Captain Steve's !! Price - food - quality - wait staff - PERFECT !!!! If Dennis Costner says it is the best - then dang it - it's the best!!! Headed there tonight - yea !
Delicious and so much food. I had a small order of shrimp, fries, slaw and hushpuppies. Could not eat it all. Service was great - thanks Sarah! Will return there again when in the area.
So I visited Captain Steve's on Monroe Rd for the first time today. Which will now become my last time ever at that location. We got there waited a few minutes for tge hostess to show up. She came out when another couple came in and without asking. Started seating them without acknolwedging us. She then slammed our down oyr silverware. My friend left a customer complaint with an associate of which the hostess I made. One of the best seafood restaurants in the area! Plenty of delicious hot food, fast service, and good prices. Most of our family celebrations are held here. We love Captain Steve's!
