It is just a great environment with wonderful staff and the people are so nice. Really good experience.
Delicious food and a friendly staff. I had Oscar Benedict. Without a doubt a great choice and a seafood twist on Eggs Benedict. My son had an omelet the size of his head! Everything was tasty and the price was great. Friendly staff rounded out a wonderful time.

Food was below average for New Bern restaurants. Service was so bad when they tried so hard.The only way to describe it: The Abott and Costello skit WHO. IS ON FIRST Tom the owner was so nice but ...that's enough.I say go try it and see
Visited last night food was ok, service was interesting. We had 3 waitresses who greeted us and took our drink orders but no drinks arrived for half hour after being asked 3 times what we would like to drink. Drinks arrived and we waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken. Food arrived was ok nothing special. Staff was nice but everyone seemed confused about who was waiting on who. Was okay dinner but there are better choices for dining in New Bern.
Captain rattys was so good! The food was amazing and the service was superb. Our waitress Nicole was top notch! We will be returning soon.
My boys wanted to dine on the rooftop and we did. Service was prompt even with our server having to do 3 flights of stairs. View is okay, can't see the river or any spectacular views for that matter. Street views were ok. My sons had pasta with marinara. They liked it. I had fried shrimp, lightly battered, not fresh shrimp so frozen. About twelve I guess. Sweet potato fries were good, really crispy. $19.50 for the shrimp, salad and fries. Nothing special.
I really enjoys Captain Rattys! Reasonable wait for a Sunday dinner, good food, our waitress was funny & a nice atmosphere. I’m definitely going to be back! �
