Delicious raw bar, my favorite ciders and gluten free options!! Loved everything from the environment to the staff to the menu!!
We had a wonderful lunch in a nice screened in porch overlooking the harbor. I recommend the MahiMahi fish sandwich. (There fries are good too, but I got a delicious side salad today instead.
The food was good but not sure I would go back, they said 20-30 minutes. It ended up a hour. Sat down and someone finally asked if we needed menus. A family sat themselves and the waiter said he guess it was ok, this is why the wait is so long . People come in the left door while three hostesses are on the right side. You really need to train your waitstaff if we are coming back 2 hrs20 minutes for late lunch is unacceptable. How does this place have 4 stars? Every local's reaction when when I tell them where I ate lunch is "why did you go there?" and the second part is them sharing the ways which the Kidd made them sick or angry or both. Misery loves company.
Extremely happy to report that Captain Kidd has gone back to its old ways of great chefs, helpful and friendly staff, and great food! I had a terrible experience there last July and was told by the owners that they were going to turn it around. Very glad they held true to their word - no more greasy food, rude staff or burnt fries. The only bad part is that the huge striped bass have not returned to Eel Pond :(
I love the Captain Kidd, always great service, always great food! I am so happy I saw their Phantom Gourmet review, can't wait to return!
They have stepped it up great this year... new chef with a new menu and old favorites that is delicious!
I swear to God, these may be the best fried clams I have ever had in my life!
