Service was excellent, location is great, kale salad with shrimp was very expensive for portion and coffee had tons of grounds in the cup
It is a great place to eat. The view is fantastic.
First visit. Shoddy service, mediocre food. Shortly after we entered, a server came and seated the party who came in behind us. She didn't come back. After waiting several minutes, we had to ask the bartender if we should seat ourselves; we were told to 'sit anywhere'. Server cleaned a table & brought a high chair, no silverware-we had to ask for it after our food was delivered. The chowder tasted like sour cream. When I when I go California I go to Rubio's for the best fish tacos. Captain Kidds tacos was just as good the ingredients were fresh from the fish to the sauce to the salsa.

I have been visiting the Cape as a permanent "visitor" for many years. I try every seafood platter wherever I go and Captain Kidd was by far the best! The service was pub like but who cares! It's about the FOOD! And it was great! We took home salads and chowder for lunch the next day ☺The wait for the ocean view room with a nice gas stove was well worth it! The people behind the scenes (I snooped) work their butts off! If you can appreciate attributes that go un-noticed then you should visit the Captain Kidd in Woods Hole!!
Great spot to catch the snow storm and eat great food. Can only imagine how great it is in the warmer weather!
