I'm not sure I can say "I loved it," because going to Lovell means, usually, that I'm ill. However, the care is superb and the attention to detail is remarkable.

Better than most VA medical facilities. TEACHING HOSPITAL is a negative.

I had a tonsillectomy with Captain Yencha, Comander Williams was my anesthesiologist (and a handful of other staff members that took care of me along the way). Everything went smooth & the staff was very caring. Once in the OR, Dr. Yencha's student introduced herself and comforted me because she could tell I was nervous. Anesthesia was painless & recovery was smooth. The staff picked up my prescription for me which was extremely helpful as well. Since the Navy took over its been a mess! Got throwen out and told was not suffering from a Heart attack. A few weeks later flowen to St Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee and underwent Quadruple open Heart Surgery for 14 hours! Friend had same problem told to go home nothing wrong with him! Died outside of Emergency room going to his car! Navy has priority over Veterans, It's a Veterans Hospital and not a Military one! I can go on but you get the gist!
