Great day fishing with Mike! Although the season, tides and weather were not in my favor to land any real monsters, I had an amazing time out on the flats pulling a variety of fish. This was my first time saltwater fly fishing and Mike did an awesome job showing me the basics and honing my double haul cast. I am a better angler because of his mentoring. If you are coming to Key West to fly fish, look no further!

I have fished with Mike for approximately 15 years. He is the most experienced guide with whom I have fished. He knows how the fish think and behave depending on tides and weather. On a personal note, he is very entertaining. Not only does he know all the ins-and-outs of the flats in his area, he is knowledgeable on so many topics that any amount of time spent on his boat flies by too quickly. This year, my cousin and I had a wonderful time with Mike and, even with the poor weather, we were able to jump 3 Tarpon and boat ... read more

Mike has been fishing the Key West area for forty years. I have only been fishing warm waters for five. His experience has made my fishing so clear from what was a puzzle to begin with. What is so impressive to me is his knowledge of the waters of the whole area and how the fish move according to different conditions. If things are slow, he will not stop searching until the fish are found. Mike is more like a fishing buddy than some one you hired. A great person.

I am been fishing with Mike Wilbur for almost 30 years and there is no other person or guide I would rather spend the day with. Not only is Mike an expert angler, but he has an intimate knowledge of his environment and the species - tarpon, bonefish, permit etc - that roam the waters of the Florida Keys. Mike is also one of the most sophisticated and hilarious people you'll ever meet. Spending a day with him will put a smile on your face no matter what the conditions are. I am lucky to call him my friend. He's part of our f... read more

I have fished all over the world. I can say that without a doubt Mike Wilbur is the best guide in the World ! I have fished with Mike for decades (I'm OLD). He knows where the fish are, reads the current and tides and he actually has a nice personality. A good person to spend hours with!
