History Established in 1967. Established in 1967 Capt. Benny's are family owned and operated seafood restaurants dating back to 1967. The original restaurants were a mere boat shaped oyster bar serving up a limited menu of freshly shucked oysters, gumbo, boiled shrimp, fried catfish, shrimp and oysters. This is hands down my most favorite seafood spot! My waiter/bartender Josh is outstanding, personable, and very attentive! He really knows how to take care of his customers! I recommend this place to any and everyone who loves seafood!
