Cap's on the Water is the epitome of casual yet refined oceanfront dining. Here it's not out of the ordinary to see flip-flops alongside suits and ties. The kitchen serves local seafood dishes with a Mediterranean twist and great bottles of wine from the restaurant's extensive cellar. For some mesmerizing sunset views, be sure to ask for a table on the outdoor deck. Just make sure you bring your camera.

I just found the perfect place to dine and chill after having endured just over 7 hours flight from London to NYC and another 2 hours from NYC to Florida. The place gives a stunning view of the sunset whilst having an excellent quality food and glass (okay a bottle and half) of 2014 Pinot Grigio. The service is absolutely remarkable (Peter is the name to look for), he has been excellent and always there to check if everything is fine and if there is anything he can do to make the experience worthwhile.
We walked in to the perfect spot to enjoy the sun set shining on the bay.. we started with the fried eggplant appetizer..heavenly fried eggplant stacked and layered with herbed goat cheese and sliced tomatoes on a bed of mixed greens and briny olives topped with a balsamic reduction.. it was fabulous.. we werent really hungry so we each ordered a 1/2 salad, i had the pear and stilten, my husband had the Cab's Salad.. they were fresh and perfectly balanced.. we shared the Jambalaya, i wouldve lijed it a little spicier, but th... read more
Excellent service to match the wonderful menu. Thank you for the gluten free options!
Wonderful, off-the-beaten-path restaurant on the north end of Vilano Beach. Overlooks the intra-coastal waterway. Delicious fresh fish and jambalaya. Would eat here again and again!
Atmosphere was great. Food was ok nothing special.
Visited here earlier tonight with my boyfriend, we were the only young couple there. Received horrible service and we were ignored for most of the evening compared to the middle aged couples dining around us. Horribly insulting and will not be coming back.
I took my girlfriend there for her birthday and it was excellent. Food was yummy & the mostly outdoor atmosphere is perfect. We had the beef tips & fried green tomato caprese salad appetizers, both delicious. We had penne alfredo with creamy spinach & grilled spinach and scored apricot whole flounder for our entrees, both also great. Then she had spicy chocolate mouse & I had the key lime pie cup that had great graham cracker crust! Yum! Can't beat Caps!
Amazing food and wonderful customer service. If you find there is a long wait, check the oyster bar area for tables. It's first come first serve!
