Dr. Popa was absolutely wonderful during my prenatal journey. He handled every complication with such calm expertise, which really helped settle my nerves as a first-time mom. He was there throughout the ultrasounds till the actual delivery. I did not feel like any number. I could not find a better experience to give my family.
I was looking for a new gynecologist and was a little apprehensive about a male doctor but wanted to be open-minded. Dr. Popa has lots of good reviews, so I thought it would be a good choice to at least try going here. However, during my appointment, he was dismissive and didn't give me the help I needed. He greeted me, and I said hi and told him I was doing well, and he said, "Are you sure?" Maybe I didn't smile enough for him or maybe it's because I wasn't wearing makeup; I'm not sure. I am 4.5 months pregnant with twins and this man dismissed the pain. He said "he wasn't concerned" and went on with the appt. My husband and I were asking questions about the c-sections and whay metrics/situations would it been needed and he was rude and acted like our research we did wasnt valid or that we were slow or something. Also, I have been trying to get a simple dental clearance from this office and he won't give it unless the dental office faxes him everything they plan to do. PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING HERE Dr. Ovidiu Popa Nearly committed Medical Battery against me. Dr. Popa was the most fantastic OB throughout my last (#5) pregnancy! He practices a standard of care that is unmatched here in Tallahassee. He provided me with professional, wonderful care at every appointment, and at delivery. Truly a great doctor in his field, and I will forever be grateful for the positive experience he provided me for our last baby. I cannot recommend Capital Premier Women’s Health or Dr. Popa enough!
