Robert Emery and his staff were incredibly complacent both before and after the operation. My lingual nerve is essentially destroyed and will never recover. Maybe something could have been done if they didn’t wait two weeks before taking my voiced concerns seriously. I’ll never forgive him.
Injections for TMJ treatment with the practice are very expensive, as they probably are with other dentists, even with dental insurance. Instead I found TMJ injections provided by a orofacial pain specialist and later by a neurologist, both of which were covered by medical insurance, to be much more reasonable.
Dr. Emery is a fantastic surgeon and far exceeded my expectations. He reinvented techniques that are now state of the art. Surprisingly, It was a delightful experience for me
Worst of any medical experience ever. Arrogant, did not listen, virtually ignored me and misrepresented the procedure to me. ONLY interested in my $$$.
It has been a bit more than 3 years since Dr. Emery performed a very delicate surgery, inserted a bone graft, and installed an implant. His work then was impeccable and the implant is the strongest part of my mouth today. He is second to none as a surgeon as proven by what he did for me. I came to Dr. Emery after two prior implants failed. My dentist and periodontist told me he was "the fixer," and they were right! A year after my first of two bone grafts, the new implant is solid as a rock.
