Experience with Miscarriage/C.A. OBGYN, Raleigh I am curious about other women's experiences of going through a miscarriage at Capital Area OBGYN. Were the doctors/nurses there thoughtful and caring with you throughout this ordeal? This is not a good high risk Pregnancy OB practice The doctors that I saw were arrogant and unhelpful with no expertise in high risk pregnancy. I miscarried at 3 month pregnancy due to the doctors lack of expertise and lack of concern,they did not bother to do anything, ie check blood work to see that I may have solvable problem instead all was blamed on the baby and made the ASSUMPTION that the baby had genetic disorder. Research other options for ob care! Lengthy hold times for calling for appointments and even lengthier wait times at appointments are part of why my husband and I decided to transfer to another healthcare provider during our 26th week of pregnancy. The Best Practice I have been to The doctors are absolutely wonderful. I have been getting care there for 3 years now and they have taken their time with me each time I have had my annual exam. My physician is Dr. Barrett and she is an extremely caring and conscientious physician. Also I have seen other doctors in the practice who are equally as caring. I have had to wait a bit, but this is because each physician takes their time with each of their patients, and I do not mind waiting a few minutes if this is the case. I woul... read more

Liked most doctors in the practice I am pregnant with my first child and have been going to this practice for the past 7 months. Usually the staff is helpful and efficient, but I have had to redo 2 blood tests because they were somehow not sent correctly to the lab. This is a pain as I HATE blood draws. Most of the doctors in the practice are great. I do not have to wait long in the patient room for them to see me and they answer my questions. Their business office needs some work.... The doctors at this office delivered a child for us. They were extremely kind and knowledgable about the entire process. What turned our stomachs was what happened afterward. Due to a error in their business office, a payment was not credited to our account. After many attempts to explain that we had indeed paid off the account, they no longer consider us as one of their patients and refuse to schedule any more appointments. Captial Area OBGYN Great OBGYN office. All Dr.s and nurses are very helpful. Pregnant women see all doctors in the office. I have not run into any doctors that I do not like. Appointments are most always on time.
