Excellent food & service! Family friendly for lunch!
The service was slow, food came out cold, drinks not as ordered, dirty glasses and utensils stacked four deep on the serving area, bar not cleared after people had left, AND someone puked in the sink in the women's restroom. I spoke twice to management with no action.

My fiancé took me and a friend of his to downtown Fredericksburg for a Sunday stroll and I choose to eat brunch at capital ale house. I have to say I was very impressed with the food. I ordered an apple waffle with some caramel drizzle and candied walnuts with a side of hash browns. It was out of this world! Been looking for a good place in Fredericksburg to eat, have a few good beers, and relax. Capital Ale House really fills the bill. Beer selection is beyond belief, and the food is very good. Friendly, cheerful staff, everything was served in a reasonable time, very attentive waitress. Will be back, again, and again!
