Overpriced, bad service, and mediocre food. We went to Caps because we had heard really good things about it, and it was my MIL's birthday. The ambiance is very nice, and they did a good job making bananas foster, that kind of thing. A gem in the east bay I can not tell you how refreshing it was to find a NICE place to eat in the far east bay. This is a nice italian grill. The food is a bit above average, but the atmosphere is wonderful. Also, they have local wines, which is nice. PROS: Food, atmosphere CONS: Location

Caps is awesome! We went there for our anniversary and they contributed to a very special evening. All the people that worked there really enjoyed being there, that was the feeling that I got, they genuinly wanted you to have a nice meal. I was happy that there were actually things that I could eat, being a vegetarian that doesn't always happen! If you have a chance to get the Bananas Foster you wont be disappointed!
Outstanding Food, Beautiful Location! Caps is a restaurant located accrossed from the old park and gazebo in historic downtown Brentwood. It is in an old refurbished masonic hall and decorated with beautiful antiques. It even has a separate dining room upstairs for overflow seating or for receptions.
