good food - high prices The food was wonderful, service was only so-so when we went. Atmosphere is intimate and dining on the patio was a bit cold now, but nice in the summer. Prices are on the steep side so expect to leave more than you expected.
What??? My mother and I had lunch at Caps today. She is 92 and I am 64. Neither of us eat a lot, so we asked to split our order of clam linguine, which the waiter kindly did for us. When we got our bill, our eyebrows were pasted on our forehead! They charged us $5.00 to share our order. huh? What's that all about? We have never heard of such a thing, and decided that this was a bit over the top, we probably won't go there again. What kind of business does this? Love the Food, The family, The Atmosphere We go here all the time for dinner I Love the Stuffed Salmon, my husband loves the Chef's Special or the Cowboys Steak. We love their Hamburgers for lunch. Jimmy and his mom and dad are great people they always make us feel like family. I can't believe the responses I have read here. My husband has to come here every Fathers Day no questions. Good the ones that don't like it we can get a seat.
A gem in the east bay I can not tell you how refreshing it was to find a NICE place to eat in the far east bay. This is a nice italian grill. The food is a bit above average, but the atmosphere is wonderful. Also, they have local wines, which is nice. PROS: Food, atmosphere CONS: Location
Outstanding Food, Beautiful Location! Caps is a restaurant located accrossed from the old park and gazebo in historic downtown Brentwood. It is in an old refurbished masonic hall and decorated with beautiful antiques. It even has a separate dining room upstairs for overflow seating or for receptions. Great Downtown Dining We have had nice experiences at Cap's. Although the prices are a little high, the service atmosphere and food are great! It is a fine estblishment and I am glad to support our local businesses.
