NEEDS NEW CHEF LIVING ON PAST REPUTATION The food looks better than it tastes. Has gone down hill since we first dined there four years ago to recent date.Bread and Butter and crushed Garlic good. But you must ask for warm bread. It is served cold and soft butter if you like your butter colder.I hope the owner reads the remarks that are being left. We will be looking for other places to dine in Brentwood. I wish they had an e-mail address, I think they should know what people think these days.
Caps is awesome! We went there for our anniversary and they contributed to a very special evening. All the people that worked there really enjoyed being there, that was the feeling that I got, they genuinly wanted you to have a nice meal. I was happy that there were actually things that I could eat, being a vegetarian that doesn't always happen! If you have a chance to get the Bananas Foster you wont be disappointed!
Great Downtown Dining We have had nice experiences at Cap's. Although the prices are a little high, the service atmosphere and food are great! It is a fine estblishment and I am glad to support our local businesses.
Best Place to Dine in Brentwood!! My family and I have been dining at Cap's for a few years now. At first, we thought the prices were a little steep, however, after learning about the quality of their foods we now don't mind paying a couple extra dollars for our meal. CRAPS IS MORE LIKE IT For my 28th birthday my husband wanted to take me somewhere nice. Being new to the area, we asked around and even read reviews and everything pointed to Caps. How dissapointing. My husband ordered the New York Strip with mashed potatoes. When his meal came out the mashed potatoes tasted like they were made with nothing but potatos and water, the gravy was even more discusting. His steak had no real flavor to speak of. My meal was ok. Do I even HAVE to click on a star? They do not deserve one. We decided to give Cap's another chance after not going there for about two years, due to the awful service. Well, we learned quickly that nothing has changed. The service is still awful and we even dressed nicely, thinking they would treat us better this time. Not! We love this place! The soups are awesome! My husband loves the Minestrone, my favorite is the Lemon Meatball soup. The service is great, if something gets goofed up, they fix it promptly. Even the busboys hustle. Everyone is friendly and eager to please. The entrees never disappoint and the Tiramisu is to die for!
Overpriced, bad service, and mediocre food. We went to Caps because we had heard really good things about it, and it was my MIL's birthday. The ambiance is very nice, and they did a good job making bananas foster, that kind of thing.
