After switching my children to Dr. Cantu due to being recommended I can say it is one of my biggest regrets. Initially I liked him when we first met, but every visit afterwards made me feel less confident in his ability to diagnose my children. This last time was the last straw. My son has had a cough for over two month and upon taking him back for a check up the doctor asked we do an xray, completely oblivious to the fact he ordered an xray and blood work 2 weeks prior. He is incompetent.
Dr. Cantu is the best pediatrician of Laredo. The level of care he provides his patients is beyond ALL expectations! The doctor’s office will follow up and ask how your child is progressing, sometimes even the doctor himself! As a new mom, I feel very comfortable asking him any question because he explains everything in detail and with a lot of patience. Truly wish more doctors were like him.
Dr Cantu has called me at 9pm on Saturday to check on the status of my sick baby and to give me test results from blood work. This level of care is beyond my expectation of a doctor in this area. Overall I have been very happy with his recommendations and treatment.
