Cantina Laredo Our company recently used Cantina Laredo to cater an event at our office. The food was great and the person who made the delivery got everything set up for us. I highly recommend the restaurant. You might just want to let them know that you don't need two large tins of hot sauce!
Great steak fajitas – went here last night and had the fajitas! they were amazing. very friendly staff and cheap beer during happy hour. I would def. recommend this place for a good meal!
Served up a good lunch – Yep, its pricey for Mexican food, so don't go if that is an issue. If not, then go. The gucamole was made to order and was exceptionally good. Everybody seems to agree on the salsa's . I preferred the warm one over the cold. The rice was good, not great, the enchilada in poblano sauce was really good, though it could of had more spice on it for my liking. The tortilla soup was very flavorful, but the chicken may have come from a can. They did serve me a beer in a can and I had to ask for a glass, but ... read more
Pretty good food, delicious salsas – We happened into Cantina Laredo on Sunday evening, after hearing about it around town. The bar area was beautiful and the waitress/bartender and host were very nice. While the frozen margarita was nice and strong, it was quite pricey ($9, I believe) for its size. We loved both the cold and the warm salsas along with the very crispy chips, and their queso was absolutely delicious although nothing fancy. We both ordered combination plates (mine was cheese enchiladas and his was taco/enchila... read more

Best Salsa – My husband and I have lived on the north side of Austin for 2 years now and we looked for months before we were able to find a Mexican restaurant in this town with a lot of flavor and spice. We eventually found Cantina Laredo and now it's our favorite Mexican restaurant ever! It's well worth the drive into downtown. There may not be a place to park for free during the day, but on evenings (after 5:30) and weekends, you can usually find a metered spot (which are free during those times). Their warm salsa has a un... read more
authentic mexican restaurant in classy and welcoming environment – This is by far my favorite authentic mexican restaurant in Austin. Whenever I have family or friends in town I always bring them to this restaurant. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that have amazing homemade salsa. They also will prepare guacamole right at your table to your liking. I would definitely recommend the carne asada! That's my all time favorite dish that keeps on bringing me back for more. The only problem with this restaurant, a... read more
Best mexican food in Austin by far. – Cantina Laredo is an awesome place for dinner or for happy hour with friends. The ceviche is the best I"ve ever had and the margaritas are to die for. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great environment with awesome food and service.
Not worth it – I have eaten at Cantina Laredo three times now and have yet to find a dish that is worth eating. It is overpriced for no reason and if you're looking for Tex-Mex you will find this place unsatisfying. I know there are people that like it, but to me much of the food lacks the flavor and spices you expect when dinging at a Mexican food restaurant. On a good note, the service is always excellent.
Cantina Laredo has a 3.8 star rating with 89 reviews.
Cantina Laredo is open now. It will close at 6:00 p.m.
