This Southern Italian favorite in the North End has been popular since it opened in 1931. You will spot the big, neon sign over the bustling scene on Hanover Street. The dining room is filled with tables, plush plastic booths, ornate posters and bright lighting. Hearty, traditional meals are the draw. Expect to see generous portions of spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmigiana, lasagna and veal piccatta. No fusion is allowed, but the red sauce has something of a cult following. The restaurant also serves beer and wine.

we had a Waiter by the name I think was Filippo and was so very attentive to make my daughter's and my dinner suck an absolute Devine experience!!!!!!!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant and the staff,,,,,,,,, but I would highly recommend Filippo as a waiter ,,,,,,,, very fine wine knowledgeable and extremely courteous!!!!!!!! We will MOST DEFINITELY RETURN!!!!!!!! BTW the food was Phenomenal much better than the rest on Hanover st.. Restaurants that over charge for subpar food.......
Stopped in after wandering the North End. First time for us and what a delightful, charming restaurant. Beautifully laid out, good music, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and yet so professional. Lunchtime so I had the calamari & pasta while GF had it with mussels! It was sooo delicious. We were very pleased and put it into our have to visit again places.
First trip to Boston! Amazing food! I asked our waiter, Marco, for his recommendations and they did not disappoint! Best Italian food I’ve ever eaten!
