This Southern Italian favorite in the North End has been popular since it opened in 1931. You will spot the big, neon sign over the bustling scene on Hanover Street. The dining room is filled with tables, plush plastic booths, ornate posters and bright lighting. Hearty, traditional meals are the draw. Expect to see generous portions of spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmigiana, lasagna and veal piccatta. No fusion is allowed, but the red sauce has something of a cult following. The restaurant also serves beer and wine.

The Host/ manager made our night so special he was so delightful. Never been treated so amazing at any other restaurant. Food was excellent and fresh. We can't wait to return for such and amazing experience!! I've seen great service/host at many restaurants but like in Cantina Italiana NEVER! they're make us feel so welcome and the Manager treats us like a father! He's such a lovely Gentleman!!!!! ❤ I would give him 1000 star definitely! I recomend him and we already have plan to come back again!

The oldest restaurant in the North End of Boston MA. The chef is amazing. The chicken saltimboca and the marinara sauce along with yummy calimari...too good.
Took a trip to Boston in April. As my son and I were exploring the city we walked past this restaurant. We decided to stop here and eat, I have to say that I am very happy we did. Best food I had in Boston. if I ever return to Boston I will be coming back here. Service was excellent and the food was amazing.
