This a great place to start a walk, bike or run. Every mile is marked. The trail is absolutely gorgeous, especially in Fall when the leaves are beautiful in color. There are views of Lake Viridian and plenty of trees for some shade. There is one portable bathroom, and the trail was well maintained. If you are lucky, you may even see some lynx.
Not easy to launch at all. The slope is very slippery and nothing to hold on to. Once you're on the river it was pretty nice, but lots of trash in trees and along the shore. If the city is saying this is a paddling trail, there needs to be a better launch. Able bodied people in good shape can get their kayaks down the steep hill. I had to have two fishermen help lower me my kayak to get in because of how slippery the embankment was.
It's a small launch. It is a carry your canoe or kayak down. I have never seen anyone on the West Trinity as the river is not very deep.
Greta little spot to fish. As of late, I've been walking the trails around this spot, which are beautiful.
