Editorial fromThe enticing aroma wafting across the parking lot is all the advertising needed by this take-out barbecue joint. Pork and beef ribs are king here, but the tender chicken or chopped pork sandwich also make good choices. Complement the…

Its Called REAL BBQ! – The bet ever! I travel all over the country year round for my work, this is better than anything in Kansas City or Texas (they say they know BBQ, HA!)
cannon's rib express.. – is wonderful. the staff is really friendly and fun. i wish they had a chicken sandwich though! the collar greens (sp?) are good too.
A happy camper – Cannon's recently catered an event for me & I was thrilled. Great food, great staff! Fantastic experience.
great catering – Everyone loved the pork ribs and the baked beans, and really enjoyed the greens, cornbread and mac and cheese. They even provided tasty, vegetarian versions of some of their sides dishes, which we really appreciated. We'll use Cannon's in the future!
Yummmmmm... – Great ribs and sauce, delicious sides, great service, nice folks---highly recommend!
a man's BBQ – I've been around. I eat barbecue 4 meals a day. I've eaten at every BBQ place in K.C., St. Louis, Nashville & all of Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, north Texas, and 3/4 of south Texas. I ain't never had better than Cannon's. I do think I liked it better when it was just a hole in the wall & the high society folks stayed away. It might not appeal to you girly college boys, but that's real BBQ.
five stars – with the recent remodel and added heated space, Cannon's has it all, including one of the friendliest staff around. if i could, i'd lick my plate...
Seriously?! – I'm new to the PDX area and was craving good bbq. I was a little tentative in trying bbq in the Northwest (mainly because I haven't been impressed with any foods yet), but I tried Cannon's. Yes, the smell coming up to the place is incredible. My mouth was watering just seeing the establishment. BUT, I have to say that I was dissappointed with the food. I had the rib tips dinner. It was meaty and lots of food to be eaten. Here's the catch though....it lacked a lot of flavor, sauce wasn't that great, meat was a l... read more
This Ain't It – I'm from the south, where we eat ribs before we can walk. I'd heard so much about this place that my fiance & I decided to make the one hour drive from where we live to check it out. What a disappointment! The ribs were drowned in sauce, I image to conceal the fact that the meat had no flavor other than the overpowering taste of wood pellet smoke. Which, by the way has more staying power in your digestive system than a brick. The sides, which included potato salad and baked beans which were no more than pork ... read more
