1 star is too generous for this disgusting hotel. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. If you value your health, do not stay at Sonesta Simply Suites Knoxville. This place is a health hazard and the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. My husband and I arrived late as we were traveling from out of state. We did not have time to book another place and all of the surrounding hotels were booked due to a college football game. This hotel stay couldn't have gone much worse, to be honest. The room smelled of mildew and the floors were sticky, the shower took a very long time to get hot. We shortly discovered the source of the smell, the hallway just past our room was flooded and the carpet was absolutely soaked and moldy. Above all else, it was 117$ for one night.
This place has a lady working at the front desk that is very rude. Rooms were very unclean as well as staff raising their voice while you are leaving. I would never stay here again. They will lie and say they are Transferring calls to rooms and there are no phones in these rooms. Run from this hotel
Misunderstand about a receipt for work expenses was handled and everything was great. Tell the guy at the front desk to breathe 🤣🤣 life will be alright. Thank you guys!
I am completely disgusted by my stay at this Sonesta. The hotel is in terrible, run-down condition, but what made it a complete nightmare was finding active BED BUGS in our room. We had to pack up and leave immediately. When we told the front desk, the receptionist actually suggested just "changing the sheets." Swapping the linens doesn't fix a full-blown bed bug infestation, and showing that level of ignorance about a major health hazard is unacceptable. Do not risk bringing bed bugs home with you.
