My boyfriend and I ate here, late this spring. We had to wait quite a while (after we were initially seated) for a server to even acknowledge us. When our order was finally taken, the food was fairly prompt after that.
Im a UW student and was on a mission with my girlfriend to find a decent Mexican restaurant. Cancuns is the best Mexican restaurant Ive been to so far in the Madison area. The employees were very nice and the food was authentic. The complimentary chips and salsa were great. Not like that flavorless stuff you get at Fridas (A very bad experience which I had just a few days ago. The food was just plain. And white rice and a mexican restaurant?). If youre looking for good Mexican food and margaritas, I recommend Cancuns.

cancun is a great mexican restaurant. the atmosphere inside is colorful and vibrant, and the food is inexpensive with huge tasty portions.
Fast, good and inexpensive. That's basically what I look for, in a restaurant, so I'm well satisfied.

My friends and I go to Cancun a lot for lunch time ciestas. The food is always fantastic with just the right amounts of meat, beans, and rice. We used to be huge fans of Laredos which is right across the street but now we cant stop going to Cancun. There are always fresh warm chips and the salsa is a perfect blend of tomato onion and spice. The restaurant decorations and table designs bring a cheery fun atmosphere to the whole place and there is never a problem getting a table. Cancun Rocks
