Since 1937, Camp Arrowhead for Boys has served families from all over the world. Nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains near the small town of Tuxedo, North Carolina, we provide fun and self-discovery in a caring environment. Set along our very own sparkling clear trout stream, Arrowhead has 217 acres of beautiful woodlands, waterfalls, streams, meadows and trails for boys to explore, camp and ride. We also take advantage of over 2 million acres of nearby mountain forests and rivers of National Forest and Park lands. Boys live in cabins with others their age and our exceptional counselors. Many of our counselors are former campers and all are carefully selected to work

I attended Arrowhead in 1973 at the age of 13. I spent most of my life in pursuit of adventure that I can credit to the confidence that I gained while there. I remember climbing Table Rock, The Camels and Northface, canoeing down the French Broad, the Slick Rock water slide, Egypt and of course "YEAH POTHOLE!" The time there had a lasting positive impact on my life. I still remember a guy named Tad Wheeler, and John (W) Nicholson who was in my bunk above me. I looked John up on Facebook and it turns out he is Army 4 Star General John W Nicholson the commander of the US forces in Afganistan after General John Cambell. A real American Hero. There was also a guy named Brother that had long hair...  more>>

Camp Arrowhead was a huge part of my life. Went my first summer when I was 8 and kept coming back until I was 17 and a counselor. Would love to RE-connect with those there from 1962 to 1972. Just completed 43 years of serving in United Methodist Ministry.

My first year was 1969. I was in 5th grade. I met Mark Brown that summer. We have remained friends since that time. We just celebrated our 60th birthday together over the Easter weekend. Like long friends indeed.
