Callie's Cafe Food is good taste like home cooking but if you go in when its busy don't expect quality, cooks loose there care for quality when their busy. service is great when they have their male server working and their older female servers. but you can expect to find young girls that seem to be there to just make a buck in other words they have TERRIBLE service for the most part.
Hole in the Wall This place is just another diner on State St. You gotta be looking for it if you want to find it. The food is home cookin' through and through. The kind of place that attracts locals that have been coming there for years, but seems a bit awkward for newbies. Food was good, but service is pretty iffy if you're a first timer.
Horrible service Food was decent, and generous portions, but service was horrible and rude...maybe because i'm not a regular as most of the patrons seem to be. Most customers seemed to just hang out and have coffee, so it must be great for them. I had a young child with me who was crying, etc. waitress seemed annoyed by that. Also had to get my own high chair, as they pointed me in the direction of where they were. Place seems pretty dirty too. I don't recommend.
you won't leave hungry A very good place to feed the family. Good food. Home cooking, like Mom's homemade dinners. Fast and friendly staff. There breakfast menu is wonderful. You just must try their omelet's. They are huge and filled with everything. I also like the salad bar. Try Callie's, and you'll become a regular too.
A Place for Regulars If you don't already know about this cafe, you probably won't notice it. It has been around for many years, under different names, but it remains the same. A tiny cafe, with little or no progression over the years. Great place for a small group of regulars or family to meet for private coffee, but not much for those who are just looking for a good lunch.
